Shop Dog

Smudge is an AKC registered Whippet. He comes from Winquest Hounds, which is owned by Phyllis & Lennah Snell (Dawn’s Mother & Sister) in La Monte , Missouri. Smudge arrived in Tucson in late January of 2019 at four months old. He was to be a “show dog,” but the pandemic and Dawn’s chronic illnesses meant this was not meant to be. Then Smudge grew…and grew…and grew…and at the ripe old age of three was MUCH too big for a show career now. He is quite happy with his recent lateral move to Resin Hound as it came with a cozy cave in the Resin Room, which is a great way to escape the new Shop Dog.
