Small Mystery Box — Hardwood Slimline Pen Blank Assortment, 10 Pens Worth of Wood
Eight dollars. Ten pens worth of wood. A complete mystery. Yes, please.
What’s Inside
Each small mystery box measures 3¾" × 3¼" × 4⅜" and contains 20 half-blanks — two half-blanks per pen, enough for 10 slimline pens. The blanks come from the same 50+ species inventory used in our long mystery boxes: premium hardwood offcuts from projects large and small. Multiple species, multiple grain characters, real variety.
Note: each pair of half-blanks equals one full slimline pen blank. If you are new to pen turning, a slimline blank is cut in two pieces to turn each half of the pen barrel separately.
Five Boxes, Numbered 1 Through 5
Five small mystery boxes are currently available, each numbered and curated with its own species mix. Buy more than one and you will get a different selection in each. All are $8 each.
How It Compares to the Long Mystery Box
The long mystery boxes (9" × 4½" × 4½") hold 25–35 blanks and include material for mesa-style pens as well as slimlines. The small boxes focus on slimlines and are perfect for trying out a new variety without a big commitment. The product images show both sizes together so you can see the difference at a glance.
For the Gift Giver
These work brilliantly as add-on gifts for the pen turner in your life. Affordable, small, and genuinely useful. No wrapping — but we can package as a gift with a printed message on request. No separate shipping charge.
