Handcrafted Wood Handle Bread Knives (Bow)
Simply put a Wood Handle Bread Knife handcrafted by Sar is a bread knife. Each is a bow knife that guarantees each slice will be the same size. They can also handle the larger loaves of sourdough or bread sticks!
Sar has created both left & right handed blades as he is a lefty himself and knows how seldom things are made for his hands. While many of the handles are from reclaimed or salvaged wood; some are created with specially bought imported and domestic species!
For the curious pine or oak is often used in the frame in otherwise pressboard furniture. Fruitwood on the other hand was used often in the 50s-70s for "solid wood" furniture. Many of these were apple as it was abundant in the US. However, there is always a chance of pear or peach so it is called fruitwood. Much of our truly salvaged wood comes from pieces sitting on the side of the road. These woods are perfect for handles! They can be handwashed with soap and water and then refreshed with Sarkanys Rising's wood butter which you will receive with your order!
