Cedar Cookie Spatula | Hand-Carved Flipper with Desert Landscape | Artisan Kitchen Tool
Rex created this hand carved cedar spatula with a desert landscape running along the handle — a hand-detailed scene that captures the spare beauty of the Southwest: the silhouette of saguaros, the layered ridgeline of desert mountains, the wide open sky that anyone who has spent time in Arizona carries somewhere in the back of their mind.
At 9½ inches, the flipper is long enough to keep your hand away from the heat while giving you full control over the working end. The transition from the carved landscape handle to the broad spatula head is smooth and ergonomic — Rex designed it to feel as good in the hand as it looks on a counter.
Every surface has been finished with Wood Butter — our workshop-made blend of food-grade beeswax and mineral oil — which brings the cedar grain to life and protects the carved detail without obscuring it. The result is a warm, slightly matte finish that lets the wood and the carving speak clearly.

A cedar flipper unlike anything you will find anywhere else. Rex hand-carved a detailed desert landscape into the handle — mountains, saguaros, the open Southwest horizon — on a beautiful piece of aromatic cedar. At 9½ inches with a wide spatula head, it is as functional as it is breathtaking. $130.
