Australian Red Gum Burl Bowl is from a tree renowned for its incredible grain patterns and rich coloration that seems to glow with inner fire. Sar spent days working with this piece. Seeing it's grain form the yin/yang that is on the inside portion of the lid made it worth it.

Burl wood forms when a tree experiences stress. Turning a burl is difficult. Taking the time and doing it right brings out the beauty that living through the stress created. 

The bowl is perfect for display but equally beautiful in use lidded or not! The Australian Red Gum's natural oils give it a lustrous finish that deepens with time. We do supply a 2 oz tin of our wood butter with every wood purchase.
